Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’ (Matthew 19:14).

This year, faith formation will consist of a combination of: (1) family faith formation lessons, (2) service sessions, and (3) faith-based at-home/virtual lessons for children in Pre-K to 10th grade. We will alternate where we meet – coming together for family faith formation sessions and service projects at both Blessed Sacrament and St. Louis.
At-home lessons give families more flexibility on the weekends, as children are often involved in sports and many school or family activities. Families will have the flexibility to complete at-home lessons.
(1) FAMILY FAITH-FORMATION SESSIONS:
Once a month, all families enrolled in faith formation will come together at either Blessed Sacrament or St. Louis for family faith formation sessions. This is an opportunity for the entire family to be involved in a faith-based activity and to meet other families enrolled in the program. We will have a shared lesson and play games.
(2) SERVICE SESSIONS:
Once a month, we will come together to do a service project or activity. Mostly, we will meet at either Blessed Sacrament or St. Louis for service projects, but we may meet off-site, from time to time. The church will provide most supplies, but families may be asked to contribute a little bit.
(3) AT-HOME/VIRTUAL LESSONS:
When we are not meeting for family faith formation or service sessions, children will complete a lesson at home/virtually. Each family can pick the program that is right for them. They can use: (1) Formed videos ($10 per month), (2) Alive in Christ book, OR (3) My Catholic Faith Delivered online lessons ($25 per year-long class).
FAITH FORMATION ATTENDANCE EXPECTATIONS: Faith Formation is most effective when families participate consistently throughout the year. To help children and families receive the full benefit of the program, we ask that families attend at least 12 of the 16 in-person sessions offered during the year. Regular attendance helps build community, supports ongoing faith development, and ensures that participants are adequately prepared for their continued faith journey and sacramental preparation.
FAITH FORMATION FEE: The fee for faith formation is $35 for one enrolled child and $50 for a family of 2 or more enrolled children.
REGISTRATION: Families that attended faith formation last year are automatically re-enrolled for the 2026-2027 year. You will receive an email from the Coordinator of Faith Formation in mid-August to confirm your enrollment.
New families should submit the registration form by September 10th. If registering after this date, please contact the Coordinator of Faith Formation first to check availability.
There are a variety of opportunities for children to actively volunteer at Mass. Children can be an usher, present the gifts, and be an altar server. Training for these roles is provided by the church. Children can volunteer as much or as little as desired and at the Mass they typically attend on the weekend.
Please contact the Coordinator of Faith Formation, Ashlee Campbell, with any questions or concerns.
