Last weekend, a parishioner asked if I could print my homily in the bulletin since it inspired him. The Homily began with a quote from Amanda Gorman’s poem “Hymn for the Hurting”.
The Feast of Pentecost and the Sacrament of Confirmation.
We conclude the Easter Season today with the Solemnity of Pentecost.
It is only the peace offered by the risen Christ that can settle our hearts and calm our fears.

Last Saturday morning we celebrated First Penance and celebrated First Eucharist.
The goal for this year is 9.5 million with the theme once again of “Hope”. Earlier this week Catholic Charities reported that almost 79.21% of the goal has been achieved.
Easter is the fifty days that begin with the resurrection, celebrated on Easter Sunday, and ends with Pentecost.
