The 2018 Catholic Charities Appeal continues through the end of June. Through your generosity last year St. Louis parishioners donated $116,216.25 to the Catholic Charities Appeal. Thus our goal set by Catholic Charities for this year is $116,216.25. So far, St. Louis parishioners have donated $92,653 toward the 2018 Appeal which is almost 80% of our goal. There is still time to make a donation if you have not yet had the opportunity to do so.
The goal for the 2018 Catholic Charities Appeal is $11 million. Catholic Charities has already raised more than 75% of its goal. The total earlier in the week was $8,353,008 with a total of $2,646,992 still needed. They still need help to make the goal this year. Catholic Charities and the people they serve are grateful for your gift of faith and love. Your donation helps educate, counsel and train parents, provide care to young children and provide social support to seniors, enabling them to remain safe and healthy in their own homes. Catholic Charities is also there to offer individual, family and marriage counseling and GED education and job assistance for youth. The Theme for this year’s Appeal is: “Love Your Neighbor” and the patron saint is St. Clare of Assisi. With all of us working together we can achieve our goal and help the Catholic Charities Appeal reach their goal to provide for the many needs of Western New York. Once again we are asking everyone to do what they can to help those in need.
