UPON THIS ROCK UPDATE

From January 2016 until June 2016 St. Louis was part of the Upon This Rock initiative. As a part of this program, parishes were asked to identify a need that they would like to address in order that each parish may continue their good works. Because of your generosity to the Upon This Rock Campaign, we have been able to complete several major projects. We have received our tenth disbursement from the Campaign. Over the years these funds helped us to complete some major projects.

We are now reaching the end of our two yearly disbursements from the Upon This Rock campaign. There will still be some residual funds disbursed to St. Louis as final pledges are received by the Upon This Rock campaign. At the end of July the parish received $22,372.79. This added to our previous disbursement totals $362,018.58. Thank you for remaining faithful to your pledge commitment to Upon This Rock.

The Finance/Restoration committee is now working on projects that we hope to complete this year. These include repairing the porch railing on the rectory; making repairs to the parking lot which seemed to have suffered from the cold this year; removing the moss on the north side of the church; painting the stairwells going up to the choir loft (completed); and refinishing the exterior doors of the church (completed).

As with any old house there will be something that needs to be done. Once again thank you for your support of these projects that St. Louis is able to complete each year allowing us to maintain our Gothic Grandeur.
