The Renewal will continue to move forward when the obstacles to priestly concerns and assignments are addressed.
Last week a group of phase 1 priests met at the Catholic Center to discuss their future and the ability to move forward with the Family of Parishes. Several concerns were voiced. As a result, Bishop Michael Fisher has paused the Renewal, to allow the priests to create a subcommittee to discuss the Renewal, their concerns, and future implementations. As of now all phases have halted, and no new activation or inauguration dates are set.
The Renewal will continue to move forward when the obstacles to priestly concerns and assignments are addressed. The Renewal format is not changing. Needed adjustments will be based upon priests’ input concerning priestly assignments in the Renewal.
To insert this important step into the renewal, phase 1 and phase 2 are being pushed back. Phase 1 and phase 2 will still happen. When the meeting with the priests takes place, and adjustments are determined, then a new timeline for phase 1 and 2 will be announced.
