HURRICANE IDA COLLECTION

Archbishop Jose Gomez, President of the USCCB, has requested that all parishes take up a special collection to support the Church’s humanitarian needs arising from Hurricane Ida. The funds collected in this special appeal will become part of the Bishops Emergency Disaster Fund. The funds will be used to respond to the immediate emergency needs for such necessities as water, shelter, food, and medical care and aid in long term rebuilding needs and recovery efforts. Funds will be used in response to the hurricane, subsequent tornados, flooding, and any other related disasters that occurred and will be distributed where they are most needed.

Next weekend October 16th and 17th, the second collection will be to support aid in response to Hurricane Ida. Thank you in advance for your generous response to those in need.
