Gratitude is an attitude that we should carry with us each day of the year.
This Thursday we celebrate Thanksgiving Day. We set aside this day in particular to give thanks to God for His many blessings of love and infinite goodness that we have received throughout the year. Gratitude is an attitude that we should carry with us each day of the year. St. Paul encouraged people through his letter to the Colossians to “dedicate yourselves to thankfulness…” We are reminded to share the blessings we have received with those around us, especially those who are not as blessed as we may be.
Even though Thanksgiving is a secular holiday, it is made holy when we gather to give thanks to God and when we gather with family and friends to celebrate our blessings. Thanksgiving should make every day holy for us. Join us for our Thanksgiving celebration of the Eucharist Thursday, November 25th at 10:00AM to begin this day of thanks and truly make it a holy occasion.
Every Sunday we gather to celebrate the Eucharist which also means thanksgiving. In this way the Church encourages us to be a people of Thanks every day, not just one day a year.
