COLLECTION FOR THE DIOCESE OF KUMBO, CAMEROON

The church in the Diocese of Kumbo, Cameroon is the only hope now for many. Our support for the Diocese of Kumbo will assist the diocese in caring for the victims of the war, those who have been internally displaced and the many families that have been displaced and are counting on the church for support.

Your generosity to the Diocese of Kumbo will be greatly appreciated, especially since the outbreak of the coronavirus prevented most diocese across the U.S. from doing appeals which would have enabled them to continue to provide the healing and support to these people who have become desperate and have no other place to turn to than the Church. The diocese is struggling to address the food, health, and psychological needs of these displaced persons within the diocese.

The diocese intends to construct a women empowerment center where young girls and women can be provided with counseling services and the training that will help them to avoid falling into the unfortunate ills of prostitution and human trafficking as a ,means of survival. At the same time the diocese would like to continue their efforts of providing a solid catholic education to the under-privileged in the remotest parts of the diocese.

The Diocese of Kumbo is in dire need and can use our help. Next weekend, August 14th and 15th the second collection will be to support the Diocese of Kumbo in carrying the huge burden that has been placed on the shoulders of the Church.
