Please read below to learn about the Christmas Mass schedule.
With restrictions and limitations during the increased Covid19 cases, many minds are on Christmas and what we are going to do. Some even ask are we going to have Christmas this year. That remains to be seen but right now we are planning on having Christmas, but it won’t be the same this year.
We will not be able to accommodate the crowds we normally see on Christmas Eve at the 4:00 p.m. Vigil Mass. With that in mind I have asked permission to add an earlier Mass on Christmas Eve at 2:30 p.m. In addition we are planning on having another Christmas Eve Vigil Mass at 5:00 p.m. As a result there will be no traditional Midnight Mass. On Christmas Day we will have two Masses at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. instead of the usual Mass at 10:00 a.m. Hopefully, this will help reduce the number of people trying to attend one Mass.
We still must abide by social distancing and wearing of facial coverings during Mass. Because we must maintain 6 feet separation, we will be limited in the number of people we can accommodate. We will not be allowed to have people standing in the church during Mass. Everyone must be seated. At the present time we will have about 75 pews available. Please keep in mind this is not a whole pew but only half the pew is available.
One other important factor to keep in mind is that the DISPENSATION FROM THE OBLIGATIAON TO ATTEND MASS is still in force. Therefore, anyone who does not feel comfortable attending Mass does not have to attend Mass or feel guilty about not attending Mass.
As more details become more available I will share them with you.
