This weekend we are celebrating the Sacraments of First Penance and First Eucharist with our young people who have had to wait this year.
This year the celebration of the Easter Season including Pentecost was put on hold due to the Covid19 Pandemic. The Sacraments of Confirmation, Eucharist, and First Penance were not celebrated as when they normally would.
This weekend we are celebrating the Sacraments of First Penance and First Eucharist with our young people who have had to wait this year. These Sacraments usually take place in early May but due to the restrictions in place at the time they could not be celebrated.
Saturday morning we celebrated First Penance with our young people and their families who have been learning about God’s mercy and forgiveness. We congratulate our 12 parishioners: Milania Grace Scarpace, Mia Anne D’Angelo, Beatrice Aielli Callocchia, Ryan James Korosi, Mason William Puskas, George Michael Benz, Charlie Glenn Burt, Beatrice Rafferty Rich, Madeleine Violet Lukitsch, Josie Marie Lyons, James Joseph Lyons, and Nathaniel Alexander Gress.
Sunday morning at the 11:00 Mass, we celebrate First Eucharist with our 6 young people and their families who have been preparing to receive the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time. They will join us at the Table of the Lord each Sunday as we celebrate the Eucharist. We congratulate: Benjamin Michael Hernandez, Alexandra Corrine Miller, Thorello Giovanni Moscati, Edward Robert Plizga, Madeline Sarah Poole, and Sophia Elizabeth Schoepflin.
We are grateful to all who have prepared our children for these special sacraments that they are receiving. Thank you to our Catechist and Ashlee Campbell our Director of Faith Formation. Thank you also to the parents who support their children in the ways of faith formation. Thank you to all our parishioners for their prayers for all who are receiving God’s grace today.
