It takes countless volunteers to make the vision of St. Louis Parish a reality.
This Sunday, October 14th we are celebrating our Oktoberfest in honor of all those who offer their time and talent to make St. Louis Parish a viable faith community. Through the inspiration of Debbie Guillow this has become an annual event to thank all who have committed themselves to the work of St. Louis.
A parish cannot be viable without the many volunteers who work together to accomplish our goal of spreading the Good News in our community. It takes countless volunteers to make the vision of St. Louis Parish a reality. This vision is: “We, the Parish of St. Louis, Mother Church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo, are committed to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, through the celebration of the sacraments, education and service to our community.”
Each and every one of you whether in a large or small way has helped to make the Parish of St. Louis what it is today, a vibrant, living and active presence of God’s love. The kingdom of God grows through our efforts as we give witness to our faith in word and action.
I hear all the time from people who enjoy being a part of St. Louis Parish because of the spirit of friendship that they experience. Guests and visitors are always impressed with the spirit that is present among the people of God here at St. Louis. May God continue to bless all of you for your selfless dedication in making the love of God a reality among us.
Thank you to everyone who helped with the Oktoberfest again this year. I know this celebration is to honor our volunteers and those who are honored also assist in making this celebration possible. So thank you to all who contributed in any way.
Once again thank you to all of you for everything you do great and small.
