Christ the King Seminary's mission is to educate sponsored candidates for the priesthood and permanent diaconate as well as to prepare lay ministers to serve the parishes in the Diocese of Buffalo.
Last weekend, Ryan Keating, a member of our parish, spoke about Christ the King Seminary seeking the support of the parish for its ongoing mission. It is the mission of Christ the King Seminary to educate sponsored candidates for the priesthood and permanent diaconate as well as to prepare lay ministers to serve the parishes in the Diocese of Buffalo. Christ the King Seminary offers individuals pursuing either a graduate theological education, a ministerial education program, or a program of continuing education the necessary formation to prepare them for future ministry in the Diocese.
Christ the King Seminary offers a comprehensive continuing education program for those who wish to enrich their Christian lives, increase their knowledge of theology and scripture, or better prepare for ministry. The formation program at the seminary provides academic, pastoral, spiritual and personal preparation for ministry. Students may choose to attend classes purely for personal enrichment, or they may pursue a Graduate Degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, or a Certificate of Continuing Education in Theological Studies. The continuing education program offers students ample course selections during the fall, spring and summer semesters.
There are many ways to help support the formation and education of Catholic priests, deacons, and ministers to serve the future of the Church. Our Second Collection this weekend is one way to help support Christ the King Seminary. Please consider a donation to further provide formation for those who will serve our Church in the future.
