The Feast of St. Louis and our Annual Preservation Fund Drive begin this week.
This Tuesday, August 25th, is the Feast of St. Louis for whom our Church and Parish are named. Along with the Feast of St. Louis, we also begin our Annual Preservation Fund Drive. The mailing for the Fund Drive has gone out and you should be receiving it in the mail soon if you have not already received it.
To say the least we have been experiencing some very trying times that have come along with the Covid19 Pandemic. In the midst of all of this, through your generosity, we have been able to maintain our parish operations and pay our bills. Also, thanks to your generosity, St. Louis earned a GOLD STAR for surpassing our goal for Catholic Charities. Our goal was $110,000. We surpassed our goal by over $6,000 for a total of $116,227.92.
This year was a slow start for the projects we had planned to do but now we are underway. The Annual Preservation Fund will be put toward painting and plastering in areas that are in great need. This has already begun and should be complete in the next few weeks. Other plans include installing a chair lift going up to the choir for those who have difficulty navigating the winding staircase. We also hope to reseal and stripe the parking lot as it has not been done in several years.
I thank you for your continued substantial support of our Parish. May St. Louis reward all of you for your kindness and generosity.
