St. Louis Church was recognized for its contribution to the 2015 Appeal for exceeding our goal by more than 14 percent.
On July 2, 2015, Catholic Charities of Buffalo officials and volunteer leaders reported that the 2015 Appeal exceeded its $10.9 million goal, with cash and pledges received as of June 30th. The 2015 Appeal raised $11,152,026.31.
Sr. Mary Carrick, OSF, diocesan director for Catholic Charities, expressed her gratitude for the success of this year’s Appeal saying: “I would like to offer my sincere appreciation to our clergy, Appeal volunteers and every one of our donors. The good within you made this outcome possible and your response to the God within you will allow us to remain mission focused for those most in need in our diocese.”
St. Louis Church was recognized for its contribution to the 2015 Appeal for having exceeded our goal by more than 14 percent, which is the highest percentage above goal for all parishes in the diocese contributing $100,000 or more. Catholic Charities presented St. Louis parishioners with a plaque (on display at the Main Street entrance of the church) thanking them for going above and beyond what they were asked to do this year. When the plaque was inscribed, St. Louis had contributed $124,776 toward the Catholic Charities goal. By the conclusion of the Appeal on June 30th our total was $129,040. This was an increase from 2014 of $22,218.
St. Louis parishioners should be proud of their outstanding generosity in aiding those in need throughout Western New York. Because of your work, your prayers and your generosity Catholic Charities has been blessed with the ability to continue its mission to our most needy neighbors. People in need across the diocese will be assisted because of your faithfulness.
