Vincentian mission centers and charitable institutions in India need our help to carry out their many missionary, educational and charitable activities.
This weekend we are pleased to welcome Rev. Binu Rathappilly, VC, who is visiting our parish to make the Mission appeal on behalf of the Vincentian Congregation of which he is a member.
Started in 1904 at Thottakom in Syro-Malabar Archdiocese of Emakulam, Kerala, India, the Vincentian Congregation rapidly progressed over the years. Wherever there was a call from the poor, they responded promptly with the limited resources at their disposal. Vincentian mission centers and charitable institutions were established in all the Southern States of India and in a few Northern Indian States. The Missionaries were sent to Africa as well.
Fr. Binu Rathappilly will preach at all the Masses this weekend. They need our help to carry out their many missionary, educational and charitable activities. They are asking for our support to train Seminarians, to look after the poor children in orphanages and schools, to run various social and charitable projects in their mission centers and to conduct different spiritual renewal programs.
The second collection today will be for the Missionary work of the Vincentian Missionaries. We ask that you be as generous as possible as these Missionaries need our help.
