As summer begins, so does our construction season. Please read below for more details.
Last week Catholic Charities, with great joy, announced that they had exceeded their goal for the 2018 Appeal. St. Louis again did its part to help them surpass their $11 million goal. St. Louis parishioners contributed $119,960.60 to the Appeal this year. That is $3,774.35 over our goal for this year. As we can see, everyone working together can do great things. Thank you for your support of the good works of Catholic Charities.
As summer begins, so does our construction season. You may have noticed the fencing in the parking lot last weekend. Our long awaited project to install a lift to go down into the hall is finally underway. Along with this a new handicapped accessible bathroom will also be installed in the hall so that we can remain faithful to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
This is going to cause some inconvenience for a couple of months while this project is completed. This means that the handicap ramp will be closed off while the lift project is underway. As far as possible, access to the church from the parking lot will still be available through the side door.
We will be installing a temporary handicap ramp in the front of the church to be used while construction is underway. The temporary handicap ramp will be to the right of the main doors as you face the church. It may be a long journey from the parking lot to the front of the church, so I would suggest parking in front of the church, even it means driving up onto our sidewalk in front of the church.
I know this is going to make it difficult for some, so if you need assistance, please ask us to help.
