CATHOLIC CHARITIES APPEAL CONTINUES

                The 2017 Catholic Charities Appeal continues through the end of June. All our parishioners have been contacted by mail regarding a donation to Catholic Charities.

                Through your generosity last year St. Louis parishioners donated $129,000 to the Catholic Charities Appeal. This year our goal set by Catholic Charities is $131,600. St. Louis parishioners have donated $103,591.25 so far for the 2017 Appeal. In order to make our goal we need another $28,008.75.

                The goal for the 2017 Catholic Charities Appeal is $11 million. Catholic Charities as reported earlier in the week has raised $9,247,530.51 or 84.07% of the goal. They still need help to make the goal this year. Catholic Charities and the people they serve are grateful for your gift of faith and love. Your donation helps educate, counsel and train parents, provide care to young children and provide social support to seniors, enabling them to remain safe and healthy in their own homes. Catholic Charities is also there to offer individual, family and marriage counseling and GED education and job assistance for youth.                 Many of us are still contributing to the Upon This Rock initiative begun last year, so it is understandable that we are somewhat behind on reaching our Catholic Charities goal. Thanks to your support Upon This Rock has reached 98% of its goal or 98 million dollars.
