A big thank you to everyone who made this Easter celebration beautiful for everyone to enjoy.
Although Easter Sunday has come and gone for another year, the Easter celebration continues for fifty days until the Feast of Pentecost. However, the preparation for the Easter celebrations and Holy Week begin long before we celebrate them.
There are several people working in the background for weeks before these celebrations take place in order to make them beautiful and prayerful for all who come to celebrate them with us.
Several people, parishioners and visitors, commented on how beautiful the church is with our Easter display, how uplifting the music is and how prayerfully the celebrations were carried out. We owe our success to the many parishioners who helped plan, prepare and carry out our liturgies.
Thank you to Frank Scinta, our choir, and Jim Mrozek, for all the hours they spent in rehearsing the music that graced our liturgies during Holy Week and Easter. Thank you to John Beller who organized a crew of people to decorate the church and to wash the pews. We are grateful to all who volunteered as Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Ushers and Greeters whose ministry is so valuable. Our Sacristans are not highly visible, but the work they do in coordinating our celebrations and preparing all we need to carry them out is most important for the smooth celebration of our liturgies.
And of course, we thank all who joined us to pray, worship and celebrate Holy Week and Easter with us. May the Risen Lord continue to grace us all.
