The theme for the National Catholic Schools Week 2016 is “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.”
This weekend begins the annual celebration for Catholic Schools Week. During Catholic Schools Week which is January 31st through February 6th, Catholic schools celebrate with Masses, open houses, and other activities for students, families, parishioners and the community at large.
The theme for the National Catholic Schools Week 2016 is “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.” This theme will be used for the next three years and provide opportunities for schools to have a consistent theme and logo.
Catholic schools offer academic excellence in a faith-filled environment. Through science, technology, religion, engineering, arts and math Catholic schools seek to form well rounded students preparing them for the future. Catholic schools frequently outperform schools in both the public and private sectors.
St. Louis Parish continues to support Catholic schools, parents and students as they continue their education. Our parish Catholic school is Catholic Academy of West Buffalo. Several children of our parish attend Catholic Academy. We also have students attending other parish Catholic schools in various parishes in the diocese.
Catholic Education is important. Parents sacrifice a great deal to send their children to Catholic schools and so we encourage them through our prayers and support.
