The St. Louis Choir and at least three other Buffalo area choirs are just now restarting. It is our hope that we will have the choir active by mid-to-late October.
We have some good news! For over 18 months, we have not been able to enjoy our wonderful St. Louis Choir either at the 11AM Mass or for choral presentations as in the past. This month, on September 16th, the choir met for the first time to rehearse and begin to sing as a group once again following CDC guidelines and appropriate “social distancing”. The St. Louis Choir and at least three other Buffalo area choirs are just now restarting. Choir members will wear masks and selections for music will be based in consideration of that slight limitation. All choir members have been vaccinated.
It is our hope that we will have the choir active by mid[1]to-late October and there are plans for a choral presentation of “Lessons and Carols” in December. Anyone interested in joining the choir as this effort moves forward should contact the St. Louis Organist/Choirmaster Frank Scinta.
In addition, Ars Nova plans to schedule an event at St. Louis next year. Watch the bulletin for details.
