We still have Good News to share with Western New York and we will keep sharing it even during trying times.
Your parish is still open and operating. Granted it is on a limited basis. The church is open for private prayer and reflection on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until noon. Thanks to Kevin Brayer who has volunteered to open the church in the morning and make sure that it is properly sanitized during the two hours when people come and go. Jim Mrozek has enhanced the prayerful atmosphere playing the organ, singing and offering the readings that would normally be heard during Mass.
Dolores continues to come into the office a couple of times a week to handle continued requests for weddings, baptisms and other business. Many people are calling to reschedule wedding dates due to the fallout of the pandemic. The bulletin is still being printed with a limited number and posted on our website. The work of the parish never ends.
Mike Mikos, one of our trustees, has been coming in to process the offertory donations that continue to come in through the mail as well as process our Catholic Charities donations. Thanks to the generosity of so many parishioners we are able meet our expenses.
Our website is constantly updated to provide you with current information, news, and spiritual reflections offered by Msgr. Madsen.
The Gas and Electric are still on. The water continues to flow. Essential maintenance is being done where possible. It is important that we receive your donations during this time so that when we are fully open again we can continue doing the good things that St. Louis Parish has been doing for over 191 years.
You can mail your donation to 35 Edward St. Buffalo, NY 14202; you can make an online donation to our Pay Pal account located on our website; or you can make a donation through the Foundation of the Diocese of Buffalo at www.frcdb.org. Thank you for your support during these difficult days.
