ANNUAL PICNIC AND CELEBRATION OF OUR HERITAGE
August 14, 2015 | Pastor's Corner
Every year on August 25th we celebrate our Feast, Feast of St. Louis. In conjunction with our feast day celebration we hold our annual picnic to bring together our parishioners and friends to enjoy the “Spirit of St. Louis” together. The picnic will be held next Sunday on the north lawn following the 11:00 Mass. We hope that you will be able to join us and relax as a community of faith.
Our neighborhood has seen a growth spurt in recent years and St. Louis Church is excited to be in the midst of the revival of downtown Buffalo. A resurgence of new development and rehabilitation continues in this neighborhood and beyond. Even before there were signs of renewal in our community, our parish had its own revival and is now in a position to serve the newer needs of the community.
The Church we see today is evidence of the strong faith of St. Louis parishioners and the determination to be present in the community for many years to come. Because of the dedication of our parishioners and friends a complete restoration of the Church was able to be accomplished over the course of several years. St. Louis has always been here in good times and bad and our restoration was a sign of our commitment to the diocese, city and neighborhood that we want to be here and remain here for a very long time.
Please join us at our Annual Picnic to celebrate our heritage and our commitment to the future.
